Oh, hey, it's Robin Guthrie. I'd love to see the two of them make music together more often.

Brendan Perry, you have consistently been singing beautifully songs from Tim Buckley, but you killed this one. Those lyric changes have little purpose and the singing kind of became very plain considered to Tim Buckley's heartfelt version. I've been listening to Perry solo and DCD for 20 years and this is surely not your best.

Long afloat on shipless oceansI did all my best to smile'Til your singing eyes and fingersDrew me loving to your isleAnd you sangSail to meSail to meLet me enfold youHere I amHere I amWaiting to hold youDid I dream you dreamed about me?Were you hare when I was foxNow my foolish boat is leaningBroken lovelorn on your rocks,For you sing, "Touch me not, touch me not, come back tomorrow:O my heart, O my heart shies from the sorrowI am puzzled as the newborn childI am troubled at the tide:Should I stand amid the breakers?Should I lie with Death my bride?Hear me sing, "Swim to me, Swim to me, Let me enfold you:Here I am, Here I am, Waiting to hold you
