The song "Takin' It Back" from the self-titled debut album of Jonah Koslen's BREATHLESS. Jonah Koslen left the Michael Stanley Band after the live "Stage Pass" album (which featured Jonah's song "Nothing's Gonna Change My Mind") to form Breathless. The members of Breathless were Jonah Koslen (lead guitar and lead vocals), Rodney Psyka (percussion, additional keyboards and vocals), Kevin Valentine (drums), Bob Benjamin (bass and vocals), Alan Green (lead guitarist), and Mark Avsec (keyboards and vocals). Of course, you'll recognize a few of those names on any Donnie Iris & The Cruisers albums that you may have.

The band released two albums on EMI-America Records. The self-titled debut and "Nobody Leaves This Song Alive".

In 1993, Razor & Tie reissued both albums on CD with the exception of three songs ["Hardest Part (Of Loving You)", "Nothing's Gonna Change My Mind", and "(You Ought To Be) In The Videos"] - it's well worth tracking down a copy.

Jonah also has a few items available through his website including an unreleased Breathless album called "Live In The Bubble" and his JK & THE HEROES albums.

God, I totally forgot this song. I was looking for the name of Jonah Koslen's band to hear Nothing Gonna Change My Mind, and this one pops up. I probably still have the LP. HAPPY BOY!

Why can't music like this still be created? Oh for the days when actual THOUGHT was put into lyrics and musicians could actually PLAY their instruments. Thanks for posting.

This was always "my song for" a certain ex-gf of mine from the 80's who used to get WASTED and either DO or SAY some REALLY stupid things "under the influence" and wonder why I'd be p!ssed at her the morning after.

Just an FYI! Looks like Jonah Koslen and Stagepass Now will be taking performing at the Kent Stage in Kent, Ohio on Friday, July 30th, 2010. The Kent Stage is the old movie theater in downtown Kent which was renovated. A really nice venue with plenty of seating!

Wow...memories seeing these guys at Dixie Electric Co. next to the now de-funked Peaches Records. Good group of musicians that came out of Cleveland & MSB. Two nice albums by Breathless...I still have the LP's...they're not too worn out yet.
