Brandi Carlile is joined by Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready to perform The Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses". The fourth annual Raise The Roof - a benefit for the Looking Out Foundation - took place at The Triple Door in Seattle, WA on September 8, 2012, and raised over $30,000.

In its 4th year, Raise the Roof promises to offer an evening of music and fun like no other!

Held at Seattle's famed Triple Door, Raise the Roof's attendees are an integral part of the evening as they are encouraged to take an active role in the Looking Out Foundation's campaigns and grassroots efforts to support those in need at a local, regional and national level.

Since 2009, The Raise the Roof Benefit has raised $65,000 for the Looking Out Foundation - focusing on causes such as The IF Project, Maple Valley Food Bank and many more. Each September, 250+ attendees spend an evening recognizing, celebrating and supporting these causes.

In 2012 Brandi Carlile announced the Looking Out Foundation is now a "public charity" - allowing them to "DO" more important things as opposed to simply "giving money" to important things. With a newly-appointed Executive Director and Board of Directors, Looking Out Foundation hopes to expand its efforts to include grassroots campaigns, street teams and special events. The Foundation will empower others to be more engaged, take action and reach out to those in need.

Raise the Roof 2012 will encourage its attendees to take an active role in philanthropy -- whether it be through volunteering, donating time/money, spreading the word about specific causes, etc. -- through the Looking Out Foundation. The evening will include amazing raffle items (including a VIP Fan package, iPad bundle, autographed guitar and much more), presentations about Looking Out Foundation's campaigns and causes, highlighted by a special performance by Brandi Carlile (and maybe even a surprise guest or two).

I found Brandi Carlile through a song that played at my work ( The Story ), never heard of her before but her voice simply captivated me. Then I find out she covered The Chain, which is one of my absolute favorite songs. I nearly lost my shit. THEN youtube directs me to this, singing Wild Horses with Mike fucking McCready. I am beside myself.
