Brandi is the real deal. If she wanted to she could do punk and make it work as great as her kind of alt-rock-country. I hope to god she has a long, long career and doesn't succumb to drugs or waco personality issues because if she does she'll break millions of hearts, which is, of course the reason why we all have them in the first place. Best female version?? Best any version you cant beat this chick and never will, look at the deep passion and remember this is live with actually pretty bad sound backup, and she still nails it, only she can do a better version.She's BEAUTIFUL.

This is the best female version of the song. Other covers are too sweet, they remove the raw emotion and desperation that the original singer put into it. I love that Brandi preserves that feeling of desolation and sadness.
