I worked at a pottery called Jugtown in Seagrove near Sodom NC in 1969 .. I remember hearing this song on the radio one morning and as the song ended the anouser said "This portion of the show brought to you by Franklin funneral home " .. Never forgot the song .. They played "I heard the Crash On the Highway" just after that ..

Excellent version. I was waiting to see how he would pull this off and he did it in spades. This is not a 'cover'; this is traditional music played by this man. Old Time, for sure.
