a Cat Stevens song on his 1970 album ..... The song frames an exchange between a father not understanding a son's desire to break away and shape a new life, and the son who cannot really explain himself but knows that it is time for him to seek his own destiny nice one thanks for sharing

Ironically, Ronan had ever had feud with his father before finally reconciled... 1:52 to 2:01; I ALWAYS LOOOOOOOOOVE TO SEE RONAN AND STEO'S BROMANCE FRIENDSHIP...

If you compare to Cat Stevens I understand that you think it sounds a bit strange. Ronan is a dubliner and Cat Stevens is a londoneer.

You are around my fathers age.But I"grew up" (I'm 15 now) with the Cat Stevens version .My father showed me.I'm really grateful that he did that when i was younger, because i still would rather listen to for example "morning has broken" which is an amazing song or something by eric clapton than a rap song (I don't say rap is bad or something i just don't think it is real music). I just wanted to say that,so you know that there are still "kids" that know music from the time before they were born.

Hey guys....I'm speaking from what I imagine is your parent's generation (I'm 55). Did you know I spent my teen years listening to this song? It's by Cat Stevens. If you like it, download "Tea For The Tillerman" - it's a great album that includes this song.

His diction and pronunciation is really bad.

Very good song for the relationship between father and song, especially for those who lost his loved father. I always think about my dad when I listen to it.
