In 2001 I lost my mother. My group I was singing with at the time we sang this at her wake. I sang Wanye's part. I was in tears the entire time. The next day I had to sing Derrick Brinkley's "Say Yes". It was so hard to not cry while i sang, but it happened..but I sang the entire song both times note for note, but was a mess afterwards. Have not been able to listen to either song until now without crying.
