I used to watch Boyd Bennett on TV when he broadcast from Louisville, KY about 1954. His show was sponsored by Southern Star Meat Company and he called his band The Southern Star Southlanders. Later he hit it big with what now would be called Rockabilly with hits like Seventeen and My Boy Flat Top and I also liked his version of Click Clack. The big guy in his band had a great personality and lots of showmanship and a wonderful voice.
