I saw Boston when their second album came out...the guy playing before them was Sammy Hagar.. it was general admission. I remember a bald 50 something guy with a Boston shirt on standing and cheering..now I'm 59 and can see what he heard to be great rock.TIMELESS!

Tom Scholz tried to out-think himself by making his albums from "Third Stage" on too polished and sterile. Most of Boston's later material was too whiny, saying "I love you" way too often, with sudden synthesizer disruptions where there should be guitar riffs. The beauty of "Boston" and "Don't Look Back" was they had an edge and flowed with every beat to become classic rock albums that have withstood the test of time.

Glad there there is still support here from old school Boston fans. Most would love nothing more than for 'Walk On' to fall off the radar, but I'm here to tell you folks that it SHOULD be hailed as a worthy addition to the same classic rock pantheon as the self-titled debut and 'Don't Look Back'. If you like those albums but can't wrap your head around this one, you need to have your ears checked. Just sayin', folks. :)

I will never understand why people hate on Fran Cosmo so much. After all, he worked with Barry Gordeau on Gordeau's solo project in 1980, so he had major connections to the band. If I had one complaint about his singing compared to Delp's, it would probably be that his singing lacks the passion that Brad Delp had. I don't think he's a bad singer and there probably wasn't going to be a better replacement for Delp. He just didn't sound as engaged in the lyrics.

@ SprheroNinja-WRONG! Most of Boston's songs were recorded in Tom Scholz's personal studio, not Brad Delps!@mediterraneanqueen-this isn't Brad Delp singing. It's Fran Cosmo.
