"Bossa Nova Casanova" is perhaps one of the lesser known songs of Kay Starr. However, this song was very popular in this country ("Turkey") in 1963. Please see the lyrics below (SHOW MORE).

BOSSA NOVA CASANOVA

I saw an ad in a paper, saying: "Learn how to dance".

"Do the new 'Bossa Nova' - get on the road to romance!"

The neon sign on the building, flashing out the man's name.

Got me dazed and bewildered, and the Signor did the same.

Bossa Nova, Casanova;

Terpsichorean sly Signor.

Broke my heart and my arches, and now I'm alone on the floor.

Am I doing OK, Signor?

It's OK.

I mean am I really getting it all right?

It's allright !

He dazzled me with his footwork, and at the height of my trance

I signed for two hundred lessons, paying for all in advance.

Now his arms around me were tender, and I fell in a flash.

But when he spoke of surrender, he met the rest of my cash.

Bossa Nova, Casanova,

Terpsichorean sly Signor.

Broke my heart and my arches, and now I'm alone on the floor.

Signor! This step is awful hard.

It's difficult for you, easy for me.

One day I went for my lesson, (leave out "and") number 73.

A sign said "gone out of business", he gave the business to me.

Well I thought we'd waltz to a Preacher, dreamed that I'd be his wife.

Until that slippery hombre twisted right out of my life.

Bossa Nova, Casanova,

Terpsichorean sly Signor.

Broke my heart and my arches, and now I'm alone on the floor

Signor! I am here for my lesson

Signor! You took my money and ran Venezuela, and it is not...

It's allright !

Kay Starr (born July 21, 1922) is an American pop and jazz singer who enjoyed considerable success in the 1940s and 50s.

She is best remembered for introducing two songs that became #1 hits in the 1950s, "Wheel of Fortune" and "The Rock And Roll Waltz".

Starr was successful in every field of music she tried: jazz, pop and country. But her roots were in jazz; and Billie Holiday, considered by many the greatest jazz singer of all time, called Starr "the only white woman who could sing the blues."

Kay Starr is a legend and one of the best singers in the world. The funny lyrics add to the catchy tune. She:"You took my money and ran Venezuela--and it is NOT:"...He:"Alright!"

Per your request, I tried to extract the lyrics and I have a draft of it. The problem is that there is a limit to the word count I can post on the comments. Any ideas?

No, I do not have the full lyrics. But, it should not be difficult for you to write down the lyrics of this song and share with us as English is your native language. I would appreciate it.
