@cast390: What are you Rob's hair/makeup artist?  No offense to Rob, but watching guys with teased, bleached hair, lipstick, and rouge play guitar makes me feel funny deep inside my soul.  You should keep your comments out of videos like these.  Please stop posting if you aren't going to take your meds first.  Pete's vids are not only entertaining, but shed light on products that most folks don't get to play with.

Yeah, only tubes make great tones. Except for SRV, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani (who uses only clean amp channels), Keith Richards, ... etc., who all have used solid-state pedals in front of a tube amp to get gold record tones.

A little too much high-end fizz for my taste, but the note separation is indeed nice. Needs a rounder top end to be ready for prime time.

I'm curious... Are those amps solid state or tube? Since They're Roland I'm going to have to assume they are digital right off the bat but you never know... Even Digitech and Line6 are making 'Boutique-esque' tube amps now lol

I think you mean solid-states are more harsh and shrill, no matter how well equalized compared to a Tube amp which is more naturally harmonic and pleasing to the ear.

I disagree as well. Clarity is more solid state's thing. Tubes are warmer and smoother.
