to all 1527 owners: is the tuning stability good, and can i fit a 64 as a low B without problems? i hate thin strings... also i'd probably need 4 or 5 strings, my first 6 strings would be 10-52. can i fit this many springs in the cavity?

Funny you say that because i was looking for the schecter for about 8 months (living in asia) and couldnt find it but came across the ltd h1007 in a shop and tried it, but decided to be patient and wait until i can finally find a schecter hellraiser c7 and never regretted it. the lowest tuning i go on a 7 strings is either drop C if i use only 6 strings (faceless etc) or drop G if i use the 7 strings (born of osiris), it does feel better with the 26.5. plus my hand are a bit big so its better.

Thanks a lot for answering ! I'm torn between a Schecter Hellraiser C-7 (26.5) and an ESP LTD H1007 (25.5). Those are really different instruments and I woud prefer getting the LTD. But I also want a low tuning. What's the lowest tuning you can on a 25.5 scale without screwing up the tone ?

Hi ! To be honest the ibanez i had (rg7321) was 25.5" but was quite a cheap guitar so Im not sure it is really relevant to compare it to the new schecter i have which is 26.5 and a much better overall quality. I still think 26.5 gives a tighter feel to the strings.

Hi - I have just uploaded a cover of this song as well. I've always used 10-56, and even in drop G it fits quite well i must say :) The neck scale has its role also. I used to have an ibanez 25.5" it was a bit too loose. But my new guitar is 26.5" which is tighter. Hope it helped :) Cheers- Matt
