Filmed at London's legendary Hammersmith Odeon (now Apollo) in the summer of 1978, this concert film captures The Boomtown Rats just as they were breaking into the big league. http://smarturl.it/BoomtownratsHammdvd Their second album "A Tonic For The Troops" had been released to great acclaim and considerable success but "Rat Trap", the first New Wave No.1, although played at this concert, had yet to be released as a single.

The show was filmed on one of two sell-out nights at the Odeon and is a brilliant snapshot of the Rats at this point in their career, the band are tight and energetic, the songs are strong and Geldof is revelling in his new found stardom as New Wave's ultimate frontman. To quote a fan interviewed at the start of the film it's "just generally brilliant music".
