One of those songs you would hear on the radio and you knew it was summer. Others included "Soul Finger", "Tighten Up", "Loveland", "Expressway to Your Heart", "Soulful Strut" and "Cissy Strut" just to name a few. Very fond memories.

Cropper, Dunn, Jackson, and Booker T of STAX were the instrumental counterparts of The Funk Brothers Jamerson, Benjamin, Van Dyke, and White of MOTOWN. Could you imagine if those two colossal groups engaged in a live cutting contest? The stage would have burst into flames and they would have had to call the fire department!
