Bonnie's second album. She is full of life and great spirit. A very young Bonnie Raitt. "Give It Up" is considered by many to be one of her best albums, but did not get the financial success of many of her later albums. "I Know" written and sung in the 60's by Barbara George, is lots of fun when Bonnie sings it also. Enjoy!!!

p.s. thanks to "childene" for giving me the correct info. I'm appreciate the update!

Interesting that I landed on this page on the second anniversary Oct. 4, 20122 -Oct. 4, 2013). I was listening to the Barbara Gorge original and BB King's covers. Then this one. Bonnie Raitt is a wonderful musician and a really gifted singer. WHile all three are good, this one has a polish and flow that is first rate.

@luvtotruck I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. Things got crazy around here for the holidays & then afterwards also. Right now my stuff is packed. I just have what is on my hard drives & several of them have crashed. I've gone through & don't have it on this computer. I will keep your request & if I find it I will surely post it. Thanks so much for commenting And listening. My best to you, Moppet

@childene This is like the time I talked to a Texan a long time ago and he said he was now living in North east Texas. Then he added "REAL" North east... Atlanta. I am so glad you brought this up & it's already changed. I do apologize. I remember hearing this when I was 9. It was huge! It was a huge! It was also when Detroit groups were going big & Stevie Wonder was "Little" S.W, I've gone back and heard Ms. George's version again. With that piano you can sure hear New Orleans. I've also ...

@ MyMoppet52 Thank you for posting this, one of my favorite records. I hope you don't my me pointing out that this was not a Motown hit, but written and recorded by the late, great Barbara George quite a few miles south of the Motor City in New Orleans, LA. I had the great pleasure of meeting Barbara George and hearing her sing this song in the early 70's, about a year after Bonnie recorded this. Thanks again.
