Listen to my blue bird laugh she can tell you why,

Deep within her heart you see, she knows only right

Whoa-oo just light

There she sits this lofty bird the strangest color blue

Flying is forgotten now she thinks only of you

Woo just you

So get all those blues, must be a thousand hues, and each is differently used

You just know, you sit there mezmerized by the deepth of her eyes

And if you categorize she got soul, she got soul, she got soul

Soon she's gon' to fly away, her sadness is her own

Leave beside her bath of tears, she'll go home

This version was a grabber the 1st time I heard ito n the radio. I put it in my "BS.." with the Springfield album original and an unedited studio jam. Thanks for the upload!

Bonnie recorded her first album in Minneapolis MN with "Willie Murphy and the Bees" as her backing band. It is not that well known, but I as a MSP blues fan know it for a fact. Any Day Woman is just out of sight folks... Willie is still performing in the MSP area an y'all can come and see him if you like. alright then folks....

... this isn't Freebo (there's no tuba here!), but Paul Pena on bass and background vocals!

It's a Buffalo Springfield song, but I think Bonnie does it better. After all, she had Freebo. There's just something about a tuba. :)

I remember buying this album and being totally blown away by Raitt and her garage band. Later, she got smoother and more commercial and not as interesting....A million thanks for unearthing this great rendition of the Stills song......
