A once legendary group reduced to a cheap tribute act. I know the original lead singer is there but they sound nothing like the original group. Shame, but I guess if people still pay to see you, why not.

If this is 2000, Liz Mitchell would have been 48. Married 21 years now. She married just before the 1979 SOPOT festival as Bobby Farrell mentioned in that concert. Liz kept the original Title of Boney M as she continued to record for F.Farian as the others left one by one. Her vocal range has expanded here, and she sounds wonderful. She changed the name to Liz Mitchell of Boney M at some point. Bobby Farrell continued to tour with his own version of Boney M and used the recordings of Liz's voice quit a lot. He passed away after a concert Dec. 30, 2010 at the age of 61.Maizie Williams has a Boney M group as well and has both live singing and original Boney M recordings. Marcia Barrett has had to deal with cancer at least 3 times and is pursuing her own singing career. From what Liz says here, there where other groups calling themselves the original Boney M touring around. There are a lot of tribute albums available. I think Frank Farian (original,producer) created a lot of ill will within the original group and shorted them on the profits. He seems to have done that a lot.

This line-up sound's nothing like the original Boney M, even the guy looks & sounds different to the original one. I suppose any true fan would know that but if i'd paid money to see this group, i'd be demanding a refund...

The performance is from December 2000. Liz and her line-up was in Denmark promoting the new compilation called The Complete Collection which recently had been released. It was compiled by the Danish record company CMC. An advertisement for the compilation can be seen during the first 8 seconds of the clip. The show was called Musikbutikken.
