No, he isn't Dr. Hook. But he did the song and I believe that if he was trying to "impersonate" them he would have done just fine. However, this is his version of the song so just let it be. If everyone liked the same things we wouldn't have different genres of music to begin with.

how can people say bon jovi made it his own , one it was a impersonation , not a cover he impersonates right down to the southern accent. he also has no were near the range to sing the song at the extremely high notes of the original. go and listen for yourself
