If they were Guns and roses, theyd probably cancel the tour because axl's voice. But no, and It's obviously they didnt care about people thinkin bout their playback, it's clear his voice was totally ruined.

ooh come on people, stop complaing about his voice or playback! Can't you see he has some voice problems in this concert? He kept singing anyway even if he wasn't perfect, just for fans! You should praise him, other singers would have sung it using playback from the beginning to the end

Any idiot can tell that on the chorus's there is playback. However, this is one of the last concerts of the Slippery Tour and because of my extensive knowledge on Bon Jovi and Jon, I can tell you that the Slippery Tour specifically the last leg of it around late 87 sometime around here was when Jon's voice was damaged, at the time he was using vocal steroids to help his voice manage the high notes without strain but it still was doing damage so of course his voice is ruined, it was for the fans.

Actually I think the Wembley '95 has background vocals in Keep The Faith.

I'm a Bon Jovi fan but doing playback isn't cool at all. If he mssed up his vocal chords they should have canceled the tour.

Anyway, i was really wrong about every concert has vocal background. I realized that richie's, david's and alec's have a pure and rich sound. But in this concert, it's really a playback and plus a background vocals. Turn your volume up and listen every chorus.

I don't have more time to explain this but if you download one of the bon jovi livin on a prayer mogg or watever that is, it is the same sound on this video. However, i am not really sure about this but they sound same in here.

...and how can you tell this is true? Do you have an in-depth answer or you just believe what other people say? Whats your arguements to support this theory? Do you know the vocal range of each member of this band? Or you just throw a "nope" and you re done?

Nope. They used background vocals for many times except when they record it for DVD like the Bon Jovi London Wembley 1995.

This is a totally fake video. Bon Jovi never used background vocals on Livin on a Prayer. Sambora, Bryan and Such were able to sing the chorus without Bongiovi. Alec John Such was able to sing even the next and higher pitch of the vocal harmony, before and after the key change.

Ha.Listen to this clip again. They are obviously lip syching the chorus, coz thats the studio version, No doubt about it. Compare it. John did struggle with his singing and probably due to bad technique, he doesn't have much range left at all. Or perhaps smoking and drinking.

Once again they're mixing with playback. Not that wierd though, Jon's voice were not the best at the year of '87.
