On this day in 1958 {November 28th} Bobby Helms performed "The Fool and the Angel" on the late Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'... One month later on December 8th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventualy it peaked at #75 and spent 6 weeks on the Top 100... Bobby Helms passed away on June 19th, 1997 at the age of 63... R.I.P. Mr. Helms and Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012}...

first time I've heard this and its really good..there is nothing like listening to some sad haunting lost love country songs every so often..I like the video shot, It was always a pleasure to see artists in the 50's and upto the mid 60's dressing up to perform.
