Wow I remember when I was in Jamaica in 1990 and went to Mo Bay as the locals call it. We were staying in Negril but went on a tour to Montego Bay. Drinking Appleton Estate Rum and pineapple juice sitting on the beach. Great memories.

This one-hit-wonder song was a Top 10 hit for Bloom in September 1970 on both sides of the Atlantic. It reached #3 on the UK Singles Chart, #5 on the Canadian RPM 100 Singles Chart, #7 on the Australian Go-Set Singles Chart and #8 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Bobby Bloom murdered 1971. Silent parter mafioso backed groups in the 60's churned out hits like this. See "Love don't let me down" and "Count on me". Buddah records.

Wow, I thought he was black. Who knew?

Everyone, including myself, who aren't familiar with Bobby thought he was black. I just realized it wasn't ethnicity that gave him such great tone. He just had soul!!

Memories are all that is left. Youth is wasted on the young. Poor Bobby, he died too early. I can relate to his death. Brain chemistry.
