I remember hearing this on WCOZ-FM in Boston around 1980! It was Bob Welch adapting to the new wave sounds of that period, and he did this reasonable well for a lapsed SoCal rocker.

Not written by Bob, but by an unknown named Neil Gammon. Reminds me a bit of early Talking Heads! Bob and Tina Turner had the same producer, so he had her record this three years later in the pre-"Private Dancer" sessions. Eventually cmae out a B-side. I put both versions in my Tina playlist. Thanks for the upload! By the way, this was Bob's 4th Capitol LP. He did a 5th, self-titled one on RCA, with a cover of "Bend Me, Shape Me:.

This LP came out in 1980 and was never re-issued on CD so it isn't remembered by many unfortunately. I believe Bob had four solo records after Three Hearts then he retired. He came back briefly in the late 90s with a be-bop style record and two records of re-recordings from his he-day and his tenure in Fleetwood Mac.

I remember hearing this song as a teenager, and looked for it for years. It was one of the first things I looked for when the old Napster was around. LOVE this song!! Rest in Peace, Mr. Welch. :(
