Catch a Fire, released on 13 April 1973, was the fifth album by Jamaican reggae band The Wailers, and the first the band released on Island Records. In later issues of the album, Island Records has renamed the band to Bob Marley and the Wailers because Marley had reached international fame by then. The album features nine songs, two of which were written by Peter Tosh ("400 Years", "Stop That Train") and the rest by Bob Marley. Tosh is doing the lead vocals on his songs, Marley on his songs.

I cant figure out why some are saying that it is Bob doing the lead vocals. It is so obvious that it is Peter on the lead that it really does not warrant me saying much. The Original song was done in the days of Lee Scratch Perry, was re done for the 'Catch a Fire album' that was produced by Blackwell. The album version has very little of Bob as background. Bob obviously did background on that track on the catch a fire album. Bob's background was mainly removed on the studio album partly because it was too raw and present. The Tosh/Bunny harmony on that album is perhaps the greatest harmonies of all times. To summarize, I wish to just clarify and re organize some 'ignorance'.... peter did the lead and has always done the lead on this song. From Perry production to Blackwell's production. By the way, that song was re done on Tosh's Mamma Africa Album. My 5 cents. Hope this rest the case!!!!!!!!!
