No matter what happens, there are always people there to interpret it. This gives rise to conflict since everyone's interpretation is a little different. Maybe people are searching for validation of their own feelings, and can only seem to find it through acceptance by others. But that only makes them dependent on others. I think you both are right, since melody is supose to interpret lyrics or the other way arround one can either feel tho song over the lyrics or over the music, it does not matter, both are only tools for a soul to express itself or understand others. The tool a soul usually picks is normally the one that's most known to the body, for some people is lyrics for some is melody :)

This song's another example of my theory that lyrics, ultimately, are irrelevant to the real benefit of music. Everyone's searching for and arguing over the meaning to these words, what do they matter? What do you feel as you bounce to this song? Where do YOU stand for happiness? There's so much positive feeling to this song - whatever you feel, just believe THAT'S what they're saying. Stop over-thinking it. Let man live life.
