Five of us from Spiro, OK, formerly known as the HepCats, became Bob Callaway & The Clicks when we recorded this instrumental, "Native" at RCA in 1959. It was considered the B-side of our record, "Lookout For The Clothesline", and was produced during the same Nashville session. I played guitar and did the vocals on "Clothesline"; Jim Neely, our bass player made-up and did the native-sounding words on "Native"; RC Gamble played Sax; Jimmy Carter was on Trumpet; and Cleon Martin was our drummer.
