For those of you who don't understand Chinese or the Chinese culture:0:04 三藩市鳳凰飛健舞社 San Francisco "Flying Phoenix" Dance Club0:08 模糊 冷清的街道 Blur Lonesome Street3:49 本製片人感謝許炳輝先生,鳳凰飛舞蹈隊及其親友的大力支持和合作。 The producer of this video thanks Mr. Binghui Xu, "Flying Phoenix" Dance Club members, their friends and families for their supports and cooperation. (followed by a bunch of Chinese names, presumably the names of the dancers in the video)The dance in this video is called 廣場舞 in Chinese, which literally means "public square dancing" or "plaza dancing". It's a very very very popular pastime among older people (usually 50+ years old) in mainland China. In every major city, either in the early morning or in the evening after dinner, many older people will gather in public squares and plazas and do this type of dancing for fun or as exercises. The music they dance to is usually propaganda songs of the Cultural Revolution, or super cheesy contemporary pop songs. Part of the reason why the dance is so popular among them is that many of them were red guards back in the Cultural Revolution and have nostalgia for the "good old days". Even if the music is not always propaganda songs, they simply enjoy moving in unison or dancing collectively in large groups, which was the norm during Mao's reign. (Yes those who have been through that dark time were brain-washed. Nowadays many older people in China still worship Mao as a god. Some even hang Mao's portraits in their homes or in their cars for his blessings.) They usually use large loudspeakers to blast out the music, which is an annoying noise pollution to people living nearby and causes many conflicts. Some of them are quite bitter and even amusing. For example, I remember reading in news that some residents in nearby apartments threw piss-balloons (yes, balloons or plastic bags filled with pee) and poops (yes, literally human shits) from their windows at the dancers. And they threatened to throw home-made grenades or Molotov cocktails if the dancers didn't quit. However in the music video, the dancers are clearly Chinese immigrants in US. I didn't know that this type of dance is popular among Chinese communities in US as well...PS. I'm from mainland China and I just moved to US.

How lame. This only appeals to all the pseudo-intellectual hipster types. It's a stupid fucking video, fill it with as much interpretation as you like, it definitely needs your imagination because it doesn't fucking mean anything.
