Still miss Duck Dunn but I know he's up there giving music lessons and still playing a mean guitar!

Truly a band "powerful enough to turn goat piss into gasoline". Amazing all the musical talent on that stage!

I knew Junior Wells. Junior Wells was a friend of mine. John, you're no Jr. Wells.

You right Don. And yeah, tell Steve Cropper , Duck Dunn and the rest of these guys that they were ripping off other music, this is way beyond that, this is a unique band. The material is the vehicle for something special.

I get really tired of purists who can't stand someone having fun with music they love. These guys got a lot of people into this music and had fun in the process. (Same with Paul Simon: he loved the music and adapted it. And Bartok adapted folk themes in much of his music. Horrors: not the real thing!) Lighten up, mon.

If anyone has more live footage of Jake and Elwood, PLEASE load it up... you know it's the right thing to do and if you don't, some crazy hair dresser with a machine gun, rocket launcher and flame thrower will hunt you down for the rest of your life!

Sorry man, but I was a white kid from Orange County CA, how much blues music do you think I was exposed to? The answer would be none, but then my older brother and I saw the Blues Brothers and we loved it. Then we started looking up all those blues musicians the Blues Brothers covered and we loved it all.32 years later and I have a decent vinyl blues collection and I will always love the Blues......and it's because of those two white guys on television. Just saying.

Here we have another choice bit of folks riffing on Black American tradition, sorta like Paul Simon dipping into various musical cultures. Our time is better spent checking out the people who came up with the beat, rather than this sort of cute shtick. Thumbs down, way down. Look at Junior Wells, and to show that white guys (and he's from the land down under) can do it proper, give a listen to Geoff Acheson.
