i imagine most people would wait till after the rain to say, play, or sing this song. well, for me, it's been raining all day, and i would think that it's during the rain that you get lost in thoughts and thinking about someone special who you can't just reach out and touch, kiss, or hold. the rain whether before during or after doesn't change the way you feel about that person, just makes you think a little deeper because the rain creates a mood of it's own. enjoy the song....and the rain!

Discovered them in Buffalo in the late 80's at a bar callled Nietzches. Still my all-time favorite band...Even though I live in Colorado I am checking their tour updates for the next place and time to see them.

I was 14 when the released their first album…27 years later I can say this…”Older I get better I think they are”…I’m not a country fan – although they are considered Country Rock… Blue Rodeo my favorite band, and I must go see them live at least once before it gets too late!

The Hip are utter Crap!!!. nothing but a bar band , and theirs a million of them all over the world. Saw the hip in a club in New York, as my american buddy said "whats the big deal, their a pub band". Totally 100% correct.Though not a fan i find Blue Rodeo at least a bit more orginal.

You're not really trying to compare The Hip to Blue Rodeo, are you?? That's like comparing Mick Jagger to Garth Brooks. It's two totally different things. Clearly, they're not your cup of tea, and that's fine. I know a LOT of people who don't like The Hip. While I'm quite sure that Blue Rodeo KNOWS that they are not The Tragically Hip, you can bet that The Hip knows that they're no Blue Rodeo. The rest is just your opinion. You're entitled to it, as are the people who disagree with you. Chill.

In a sense you are correct..Jim Cuddy himself said that he's not a great singer, and he stretches his vocal's to do what they just cannot...but that doesn't stop him from trying. What makes their music so great is the vocals, but also the content of their lyrics...it strikes a chord with so many people. You don't care for their music. Kudo's to you for giving it a try. I personally don't care for the tragic hip, but they sing about what matters to the average working man, and that's ok.
