I thought this was a Counting Crows song I had never heard when I first heard it. Great and beautiful song!

I know that feel. I know it so well, just keep running from the past until your far away.

A little more aggressive than most Coldplay songs starting around the halfway mark but still very Coldplay-ish. If you listen to the end of Coldplay's "Warning Sign," which preceded this song by a few years, you can hear striking similarities to the chorus on "Burning In the Sun." Not a direct rip, but very similar. Kind of like Miley's "Wrecking Ball" borrows from that Gotye song at certain points, vocally.

@Al Les "I'm sure they were before Coldplay."Uhh... No. Coldplay was around since 1996.Blue Merle, an AWESOME band, without a doubt, was formed in the early to mid 2000s.

Broski I'm High

He has probably one of the best voices besides Creed's lead singer

why not just hire metallica to play a ballad?

This band name rules, and inspired the creation of a game changing nickname for a friend of mine. It is with tremendous sadness that I so belatedly learn of their dissolution.

The guys voice soulds a lot like Chris Martin's voice is why I believe ppl mistake them for coldplay. But yea they are good.

That would mean that all these years you thought Coldplay had a good song. I'm glad you discovered the error.

I don't get the coldplay reference... these guys clearly have (had) a bluegrass influence and the instrumentation is quite different from Coldplay. But I am so bummed that they broke up. They broke up right before they were getting ready to have a real impact. Another great tune on this album is "Places"... awesome tune that anyone who travels for a living can relate to. Maybe they will come to their senses and get back together...

Luke Reynolds (the singer) still plays solo and is a member of Guster. I highly recommend checking his other stuff out

How did this song end up on my iPod as Swallowed in the Sea? I've thought this was Coldplay for so long! Geez Louise

Another victim of the 'Swallowed by the sea' mp3-file over here. It took me just 4 years to find out though. I bet you also have the version with the violin solo, haha. Nice song indeed!!
