Originally the song was supposed to be on Stevie Nick's solo debut album, Bella Donna, but she had so many songs for the album that it was one of the ones that was cut. However, around that time she was approached for a song for the Heavy Metal soundtrack, it was pretty much a "here you go" and that is how the song ended up on that album.
