Before anyone asks, "UnEq" is pronounced "Unique"... :)

This is a remix of Blue Foundation's "Eyes on Fire" that I started back in Feb 2009... It is still unfinished in my eyes cause I want to add some turntable action and some things still need to be EQ'd a bit.. I've just been too lazy to complete it.. I'm posting it as is for now and will repost when I get around to completing it :) I will also provide a link where you can get a clear copy... If you have a nice system in your car or home, this promises to BOOM....

I made the remix in Sony Vegas. Some ask why I chose to do it in Vegas, and I say just because....

The guy rapping in the middle of the song is a friend of mine that I work with... His name is Action from Compound Inc... (check out http://www.compoundinc.net for more info about Action)....

Sorry for the delay, I'm hardly ever on here these days. Well if you're just starting out, I would imagine there's a pretty big learning curve maybe at first, but once you get past a certain point, you'll find it's pretty easy. It's all about knowing the software you're using and having an idea of what you want to do. The crazy thing is sometimes you'll get new ideas as you are building your track/remix and end up with something totally different from what you originally planned out :)

cool.. how much of a learning curve is there? personally i didn't like the rap. objectively however this is really well done and it is clear you have an idea of what you're doing.

I used Sony Vegas (yes it's video editing software, but it's also a pretty good Multi-Track recorder/mixer as well). It's pretty pricey tho. A Freebie way to go is Audacity. It comes with a ton of effects and you can arrange multiple tracks. Not as easy as Vegas, but it can be done.

sure - I just gotta pull the raw files from a backup and compile another mp3.. Might take me a week to actually get it done. I'll post it on djuneq.com when I'm done. It'll have MORE BASS in the title! :)

I personally use Sony Vegas.. Sometimes I use other various programs for certain needed filters that I don't have installed in Vegas. Also, if I need sounds or instruments, I get a beat machine or keyboard involved. But the complete mixdown is done in Vegas.

i was waiting for a drop and I got rap..... exactly what i want to hear in a BLUE FOUNDATION remix???????? lol but seriously good work, how do you do these remixes man cause I have ideas of how I want these songs to go as well just no outlet. Any advice?

Wow I luv this version! I think the rap is good, it's not like cheaps sounding, it sounds professional! But um in when she's singing you should put some of that tunnel echo reverb thing like when she starts in the beginning. This is awesum!

the rap part threw me for a loop for a second and kind momentarily ruined it, but it actually fit the song well and turned out to be a nice change of pace. good shit though, keep it up.

i quite enjoyed the rap ha, i agree with what that dude said about the bass, i have the logitech z5500 soundsystem which im listening to this on, its not the best in the world, but its a 10" sub and all in all optical a 800wt system :). I thought the whole thing was good though, it would have been better like having the verses done by the female and you rapping the chorus's rather than just bringing yourself in at the end when you know you deserve to be on at the begining :)
