Here's the song "Blow Out", from the first Radiohead album, "Pablo Honey". It is often considered the worst Radiohead album, because it is far from what they are now. Anyway, we all still love it, don't we? :)

In my mind and nailed into my heels

All the time killing what I feel

And everything I touch

''(All wrapped up in cotton wool)

(All wrapped up and sugar coated)''

Turns to stone

And everything I touch

''(All wrapped up in cotton wool)

(All wrapped up and sugar coated)''

Turns to stone

I am fused just in case I blow out

I am glued just because I crack out

Everything I touch turns to stone

Everything I touch

''(All wrapped up in cotton wool)

(All wrapped up and sugar coated)''

Turns

Pablo Honey is my favourite Radiohead album, it has a raw honesty about it. This is by far my favourite song.

I hate how this isn't such a well known song. I wish it was on The Bends, among other classics, then it would get more recognition. But then again.. it wouldn't be such a gem anymore, idk

While I can understand why some think that Pablo Honey is their worst album, I do think it has some of their best songs on it like Vegetable, Rip Cord, and especially Blow Out.

This is perhaps one Radiohead track that was so advanced, so forward-thinking in its whole approach and style, that it could have been placed on just about any Radiohead album and would have fit, especially on up through, say, In Rainbows. No one ever really discusses this track or gives it much credit, but it has got to be one of the band's very finest moments. I think it captures just about every element of the band that we love, from the experimentation, melancholy moods, Thom's unique and emotive vocals, the loud/soft dynamics, unusual timings, Johnny's haunting arpeggios and unconventional chord voicings, and so on. Amazing.

This song by Radiohead just blows my mind away toward the end....It together with track one of the album Pablo Honey is sensational, and I have to say I was never a Radiohead fan until I bought the album from a charity shop... Ouch...!

@Ram territory. I'm guessing Ed used a distortion pedal with high tuning on his guitar at the intro. This was recorded in 93' so by that time the band had only been around for five years so I don't think they had much money then lol. The outro it sounds like Ed was alt picking along the high end of the guitar in one pattern along the high frets.

This is my favorite Radiohead song, period. I wonder if any radio station has ever played it...Anyone know what Ed's guitar noise in the beginning and after the chorus is?
