I might have bought the album at the time, but that ridiculous hairdo that Debibe was sporting put me off!

One of my favorite Blondie tracks. I have the 12" of this and couldn't love it more.

Many thanks for uploading thisI must say its impressive to hear the long version of this song. For many years my only experience of this song was an edited version on a Ronco compilation album called Breakout. From memory it was faded out straight after the "Father and mother/Only discovered/We are young lovers" lyrics

@ bugz Malone I think it was more a case of the fact that the band were falling apart long before 'The Hunter' sessions. And sad to say, pop music being the fickle thing it is things and people were moving on. Still it's great to go back and listen to whole albums from Blondie and not just the singles. So many gems to discover.

@Tim Grayson is right, the album might have had a chance at commercial success were this the first single rather than the second as was the case. The weak ISLAND OF LOST SOULS was a bad choice for first single, hindering the sales of the album and affectively putting to an end to Blondie (well for about 14yrs anyway).

It was political and at that time maybe their record company were a bit on edge releasing it as a single just in case?

This is such an AMAZING production & well written track. Debbies vocal is to die for. The Drum drop & base of this track is extraordinary if you turn your stereos loud as can be..it will blow your roof off! :o)

Wow! Great song! Why wasn't this the 1st single to be released instead of Island of lost souls, I believe this album would have sold more copies and this song would've went top ten or #1 like there other songs. Not saying IOLS was bad or anything like that, but put out the fast dance track to get the attion of everyone and then put out IOLS

Thanks for posting. This song should have been big hit. Influenced by David Bowie is what I hear.
