Beau is amazing in this video the quality of the video is 240 and 144. They aren't the best qualities out there which is why this might not sound good.

You think that I don't get it, but I do. I went to the shows, I studied the albums, and I was ultimately disappointed. I listened to this music all the time when I was younger, but I got tired of it because none of these bands could get their shit together live. Go ahead and call me names or whatever gets you off, but when it comes down to it, there's no excuse for being a shit singer that acts under a false pretense like this guy.

You want hardcore? Try The Dillinger Escape Plan or Converge. Shit, go listen to Orchid, Rites of Spring, or even old school AFI. Vocal ability has everything to do with being able to sing well while moving! Again, look at most people who star on Broadway. They move exponentially more than this guy and can sing better than he could ever dream. Go watch practically any video of Queen and you'll see that Freddie Mercury is doing the same things as this guy and blowing him out of the water.

1. That's an opinion, cunt. 2. Like I've said before, you clearly don't have the slightest clue what kind of energy levels are required on a day to day basis when you're in a hardcore band. 3. Vocal ability has nothing to do with being able to sing well and move around like a maniac on a daily basis. If you think someone who sings amazingly standing still is automatically not a good singer while thrashing around, you clearly need to re-evaluate your perception of talent. Now fuck off.

1. This is not hardcore. 2. The main reason I don't like "hardcore" is frontmen being shitty singers while thinking they're good. 3. Vocal ability (just like guitar, bass, drumming, or any other goddamn instrument) is always liable to be scrutinized during live performance. That's the whole point of performing live. Otherwise, performers would just lip-sync to backing tracks. Abilities in the studio don't mean a thing if they can't be recreated live.

i'm gonna go out on a whim and guess you don't go to very many hardcore concerts if you think cues take priority over energy usage. his abilities in studio speak for themselves. my main point is that his ability to hold tone and pitch should not be judged because of strain (that affect anybody trying to perform in this genre) during their live shows. listen to their music, you'll see he doesn't always remain in a high register. you might wanna know something about these shows before you judge

Wasting energy before your cues is part of the performance? Good vocal tone/technique (and pitch in his case) should never be compromised for high energy for the sake of the performance. His range isn't that big, or if it is, he's not using it fully in this case. He stays in his high register too much; there's little variety for a lot of strain. If "most males would kill to naturally have" a range like his, y'all have some pretty low standards.

well that's part of the performance, buddy lol. it's more about the energy rather than clarity at these kinds of shows. like i've said, someone who is able to move around rapidly and still sing well at the same time is someone with great breath control. it isn't their singing voice alone that enables them to do that. i'm aware Beau Bokan may not have very good breath control, but seeing in studio videos, he has an exceptional voice with a range most males would kill to naturally have

Oh, I grasp it firmly. If a person is a good singer, it's not hard at all. Go watch any video of Queen where Freddie's not playing piano, Circa Survive, Your Best Friend (who are also playing guitars while singing this style). And again, any Broadway actor does the same goddamn thing, it's just not with guitars. The singer in this isn't even moving around much while he sings. He's jumping around while not singing, wasting all his energy before his cues.

what you fail to grasp is that i'm aware any of history's greatest artists could blend genres vocally with ease. the part they'd have difficulty with is the performance and stage movement itself. i'm saying it doesn't make your vocal ability inferior if you aren't great at singing and moving around like a maniac at the same time. you could have a perfect voice standing still and get winded easily while moving around. that's more an athletic ability that can compliment your overall performance
