All these statements above were actually said to me at one time in my life...unfortunately I remember them verbatim; the negative voices of memory are often louder than the positive voices of memory.Weather it be a recess playground rhyme that is chanted over and over or an email sent to me just minutes before a worship gathering, filleting open every insecurity that I posses...the pain stains you like wearing a white t-shirt to an all you can eat rib eating contest. Somedays the pain is so deep you become afraid the stains may never washout.Then one day...hopefully we realize that we are not the only ones who are walking around with stained white t-shirts; there are others who bare the scares of their shattered hearts. Is it possible that apart of Jesus' motive was to instruct us to love everyone else as we love ourselves, and point out that we don't have to be alone in our journey? We don't have to walk the path of loneliness littered by the path of the shattered parts of our lives that have been broken by others. Others can tear us down and even injure who we are on the inside, but others can also can help put ourselves back together again with love being the common denominator. "Love will make away."
