I always love this song and brings tears o my eyes but I can't help thinking about Richie must had listen to Eve Brenner - Le Matin Sur La Riviere  and the guitar beginning on Mercenary - A Darker Shade of Black (Not my style of music) No criticism, just curious what others think of this.

Magnificent piece.... From time to time, Blackmore's comes up with a great instrumental like this one... This track alone makes the new Blackmore's Night album worth buying. What is funny is that the first half of the track doesn't feature any guitar, actually... but when it enters the stage, wow !
