Your camera mic is compressing the crap out of the amp sound.

Im bying one, but how do you connect the 2 x 12? Arent the speakers 16 Ohm and there is only one 16 Ohm output from the amp?

Would this be a good amp for small rehearsal or tiny mic'd up venues? Sometimes my Vox can a bit overpowering in those smaller situations (if I want the best tone).

Can you play in a band with this amp? I mean, can you hear it due the 5 watts of this thing?

I don't understand how you're getting the sound that you're getting. Mine is loud with plenty of headroom. I barely get any overdrive even when the volume is maxed out. On 5, you get some dirt by just hitting hard. I put a boost pedal in front of it and it just gets louder...no dirt. I bought it used. Do you know if it could have been modded to stay clean? Could you tell me what the original tubes are supposed to look like? I love the tone you're getting.

What a great sound you're getting! Most of the videos I've seen of this amp don't make it sound good. Are the amp and the guitar stock? I hear compression. If there are no pedals is there some on your mic? Again, great tone! Thanks.

I thought the Blackheart sounded really good! Why would you recommend the Epi Valve Jr. over it?

Good guitarist.

Thanks a lot for the advice!

Definitely for recordings. I have an Epiphone Valve JR that had a few mods done to it that might even be a better choice in this price range though.

Greetings and thanks for sharing the video! I have a small recording studio and I'm thinking of buying this amp. Do you think it could drive a marshall 4x12 cab to a descent level for recordings?

Do you have a decent amount of static coming from the speaker when the volume is about a third of the way up? Mine does, not sure if it is supposed to.

@maciverandy Nah man, it's different. That Marshall is just special. They go for $800-$1500 on craigslist and ebay; but it's worth it. They sound absolutely amazing- it's my perfect tone. And they'll last forever too. Thing about me is all I want is that tone, I don't vary too much. If I wanted to have lots of tones, I'd buy a pod or a modeling amp.

@maciverandy I know there are cheaper heads out there, but I know what I want exactly. A 1970's JMP Marshall 2203 or 2204 head.
