I could never understand why it was that after Ozzy left, B.S. tried to get guys who sounded like Gillen or Dio or a combo of both. Do.Don't get me wrong, I love the vocals, but each guy except Donato & Martin before Ozzy came back had a stint with Rainbow. Dio was the only guy who had a band before Rainbow called Elf. Seems almost every vocalist stood in for some Ritchie Blackmore related thing including Deep Purple.

My only problem with this album, they brought in some unknown bass player when they have Glenn Hughes singing and he's a really good bassist and would probably be the only other bassist sabbath could get that could match geezer, im a bass player so little things like this annoy me.

the sphynx (keyboard intro) is incredible. Crank it loud - it has almost a haunting, mystical atmosphere to it..

This album has great riffs, it's really the most underrated Sabbath album there is, I think.

really an Iommi solo release. I remember the first time I saw Sabbath. A new group opened up for them .... not many people knew of yet. Their name was Van Halen.
