Black Sabbath briefly enlisted Dave Donato to sing for them after Ian Gillan returned to Deep Purple after the 'Born Again' tour. Donato did not last long in Sabbath, but some recording did occur. This is an extremely early version of "The Shining", which was titled at this time "No Way Out". Enjoy!

I met him once. He was standing in the back at a club show in LA. I mentioned White Tiger & Sabbath to him. Should have asked for an autograph. Maybe it was somebody else. LOL.

the last singer under the name black sabbath before tony iommy put the band on hiatus to pursue a solo carreer, which ended up being the seventh star album with glenn hughes on vocals. the record company used the name black sabbath on the cover;but it was'nt an official sabbath album.

Dave D. was apparently in the band for about 6 months or so and more songs were demoed with him. Whether or not they will ever surface (doubtful) is another story.

Well, there's more floating around with Fenholt than there is Donato. :-) Also, by the time Fenholt put down those tracks, there was no longer a Black Sabbath for him to front. He was singing on what was to be a Tony Iommi solo album, only called "Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi" because of record label pressure. Also, Dave Walker was a member of _Black Sabbath,_ albeit briefly, more than spin doctor Jeff Fenholt ever was.

A boring generic hair metal singer. But then again, so are Ray Gillen and Tony Martin.
