I love Gen Hughes but in this video, he sucks at singing, that's why he left the band, he had issues with his voice. very rare video for sure.

Listen to Hughes/Thrall which came out just a few years before. Hughes sounds AWESOME on that record. Same with Iommi/Hughes. Dio and Hughes are the two most technically gifted famous vocalist. Singers know this. They're still just as good today (RIP Dio). Gillan was great in his day too.

I'm a singer and I can tell you guys this. The voice is a very sensitive instrument. If there is anything wrong with your voice at all, you're screwed. I can hear it in Glenn's voice that something is wrong. I've been in these situations (not drugs though). If he had done a LOT of coke before the show it could be dripping down his throat which would numb the chords, dry them out and cause him to lose his power and range. It's that simple. And this IS Glenn Hughes. I know the man.

He sure has a better stage presence behind his bass than just holding a mic. Watch his video from the Butterfly Ball. He keeps his hands in his pockets.

RIght up there with Rob Halford forgetting the lyrics to Paranoid when he subbed in for Ozzy at Ozzyfest years and years ago.

I forgot where I read this. But I read that after the recording of Seventh Star, he didn't get to tour much with Black Sabbath because of his battle with cocaine. The same problem happened when he was with Deep Purple. I read in wikipedia he didn't get to tour after they did the cd Come Taste The Band. He's doing great now. He's been clean now for over 10 years I think. Not long ago I read one of his latest messages on twitter. He's happy where he's at now.

@JosephKuby Have to agree with that. Bit chunky in this video, though. Looks like Roseanne Barr. And yes, I've heard Iron Man, when he forgets the lyrics. Really, really bad.

This is pretty much "Tony Iommi Solo Band" with Glenn Hughes. The disc label band name was "Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi" only because of the record label pressure. Really it should'd been "Iommi", just as with "Fused"
