I agree with you as far as Black Countess has stayed more akin to black metal and that Cradle of Filth has strayed from their Black Metal roots, But I still love Cradle's music and I love Black Countess's music. In defense of CoF, A sign of a truly great band is the ability to evolve their music but also keep it great. it is rediculous how people go on at COF most well known yes but there are millions of metal bands black metal bands move on! go back to norway for some damn info venom even and the movement of COF is a wave of metal that was all simular

@asgardianson These guys formed only a couple years after CoF. This band started in '92 in Russia. CoF was still pretty underground at that point, so there is no way that they were originally unfluenced by them. Over the years they started to sound more like CoF, and that might of been because CoF blew up around then, but theyve still kept it alot more akin to Black Metal than CoF did. CoF has gotten really gay lately, and Black Countess is still kicking ass.
