I believe "Happier than the Mornin Sun" was on the album "Roads." Several of the songs on that album were fantastic and among BJ Thomas's best recordings. I believe that Stevie Wonder actually wrote "Happier than the Mornin' Sun" as well as performing on the song...great harmonica accompaniment.

Does any B.J. Thomas fan have the recording of "Roads" which came off of the 1972 album "Billy Joe Thomas"? If you do, could you please past it ? It was a great album with back ups Duane Eddy, Stevie Wonder and Darlene Love and the Blossoms.

Love B.J. Thomas! Stevie Wonder was also playing behind a song by Dave Mason at that time.

On October 7th, 1972 "Happier Than The Morning Sun" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100; it stayed for two weeks on the chart and both those weeks it was No. 100...

Clearly one of the finest songs B.J. Thomas recorded. When I first heard this tune, I was sure it would blow up the charts. And then I never heard it again. What a treat - THANKS!!! Stevie Wonder's harmonica work ain't too shabby, either, and he even wrote the tune.
