Billy Ray Cyrus was completely underrated, and unfairly panned all because if the "Bubblegum nature" of Achy Breaky Heart, and because he rocked his mullet harder than everyone else in country music. For those of you too young to remember, mullets were VERY much the fashion back in the 90s. I feel Cyrus, at least on his first four, five records, was an excellent talents. After that I kinda lost track of him, so I can't really speak on those albums.

most people don't now that BRC didn't write achy breaky heart... people just got sick of it after playing the song over and over again... don von tress wrote it being called ( don't tell my heart ) but everyone kept asking for that achy breaky song. to me the song sounds like a song about a woman sleeping around and the boyfriend/husband is trying for attempted murder lol.

it was never a tribute to elvis... this song was just on an album he did in the mid 90's. right now he is on his 13th or so album and I know him for every album. BRC was mentioned to about being " the next elvis " because he is a country boy sticking to his roots and have that diversity. 21 years and still going aside from the 10+ years before getting signed to mercury records.

Barto you're ears deceive you... While BRC is good, and sounds like Elvis in this song, Elvis had much more of a pure voice and he had control of his voice in the lowest tones, where BRC doesn't , at least not on the song.
