Unlike other countries, in the US there is a passion for keeping the archives in original form. I would not be surprised that the analog multitrack tape for this album still exists. In that case, they only would have to make a remix of it, improving a few parts or replacing the ones in huge mistakes. That would keep this album's "soul", whici is fantastic.11 years ago

From an artistic standpoint Joel's album, "Cold Spring Harbor", is easily his best work - absolute genius. I appreciate his sorrow and frustration over that unmitited mixing and production disaster, but he could once again re-shape the music world by redoing that album.
