wow, it's been so long after all these years that i haven't heard this wonderful song & never before have i ever saw the rock group perform it until now (a few moments ago on YouTube) that i finally heard & watched a live TV music presentation of Billy J. & the Dakotas performed this beautiful song at the T.AM.I. live music show. all smiles!

Paul McCartney offered to over dub the very last note of the song and was allowed. He was in the studio when Billy recorded it while suffering a cold that prevented him from reaching that high note.
