I thought I'd revisit this album after 20 years and it is obvious even now that this album was garbage. Only in an ironic icon worship sense could one find much redeeming worth. If you want to hear a cyberpunk album that was ahead of its time and overlooked listen to Shotgun Messiah's Jihad album, now THAT was decent and way ahead of itself but then again it wasn't the relic known as Billy Idol doing it.

Imaginary man amongst the heathen Can't you see a modern primitive I came back, I'm gonna find I'm gonna give religion When there was, no religion at all It's VERY obvious this song had influence on that series.

This would have been a perfect song for Capria.

Bruce Bethke is generally credited with coining the term. However, William Gibson is arguably the most well known Cyberpunk author, especially with his Sprawl trilogy (Neuromancer, Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive). The games just hooked on the movement and are in no way responsible for starting Cyberpunk. As far as music goes, Billy Idol is by no means in the slightest way Cyberpunk either. The closest you can come is Front Line Assembly who has from the beginning incorporated the theme.

This album is horrible.
