I always liked this song, obviously, since I thought about it in 2015. In terms of the video, which I have oddly never seen before today, I can only offer my critique. The song is great in sound. It captures a fantastic aggressiveness in the chorus. It never translates to video. I watched this twice to be sure of my thoughts. The video has a lot of progressive imagery, plenty of gay references that had never been brought to a major music video studio before in terms of 1998. However, you need more than that.Billie never really connects with the song in the video. She is too laissez faire for the tempo of the song, especially with the chorus, she needed to hit it harder. Even other areas of the video didn't seem to recognize where they were with the song. If she had been able to go at this with the same gusto Janet Jackson would have used in her Rhythm Nation videos, we would have had a winner. Honestly, the first thing that hit me upon seeing this was "This was the best song Neneh Cherry never recorded". Billie reminds me of her a lot in her delivery and appearance, except Billie is more unique and had more to offer, in my opinion. I hate to compare her to others, though.Should this have been huge? Yes, every bit as "Kiss The Rain". She had everything working for her after the success of "Kiss the Rain". But, to change a "one-hit-wonder" status is fragile. After that first hit, every artist is on the line. The push at radio was never good (I never heard it). This video needed more work to get released. It pushed all the right buttons, but it didn't have the energy within to make it work.I love Vertigo, though, and I won't watch any song they made a video from, now.

Billie is embarrassed by this song. But in my opinion I'm happy she did it because it is defiantly a great song to make love to.
