Billie Holiday

Billie Holiday (April 7, 1915 - July 17, 1959) was an american jazz singer and songwriter. Nicknamed "Lady Day" by her friend and musical partner Lester Young, Billie Holiday had a seminal influence on jazz and pop singing.

My best childhood memories are of this song. My grandmother would teach me to cook in the kitchen with every Billie holiday song playing in the background. I always replayed this one most.

I just got reunited with Ms Holiday thanks to Audra McDoald singing as her in one of her last performances. I love this sing so much which is the only reason I checked out Ms NcDonald as her!
