Most early christian songs that we sing as Christmas carols today, were not meant just be performed at Christmas time. This message, of God's Love...that of his birth should be shared all year. It is not uncommon for me to listen to this type of music all year. Even in the heat of summer...actually because of the heat of summer, I find music like this to be such a blessing.

Shame he repeats the word lamb twice in the lyric. Would have been more powerful if he used the word Christ first and end with lamb which combines beautifully with 'the great I am' at the finale. But maybe I'm being harsh.

We heard Mark sing this at the Strawberry Festival in Florida a couple of years ago. Mark was in a wheel chair from an injury when he sang it there appearing with the Gaithers. Amazing performance with such power.
