On this day in 1960 {October 24th} Fats Domino's "My Girl Josephine" entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #14 and spent 15 weeks on the Top 100 It reached #7 on Billboard's R&B chart and #32 in England One year later in 1961 Bill Black's Combo covered it; but it was only released in England The B-side of the record also charted, "Natural Born Lover", it reached #38 and stayed in the Top 100 for 9 weeks Mr. Domino will turn 85 years old this coming February 26th
